The Ease of Living Survey is an initiative by the Ministry of Rural Development aimed at assessing the availability of basic facilities in rural households. This survey is conducted nationwide as part of the campaign on Constitution and Fundamental Duties & National Event from November 26, 2019, to April 14, 2020. The assessment focuses on deprived households identified in the SECC 2011 data, evaluating their ease of living based on 16 household parameters that align with government flagship programs such as PMAY-G and UJJWALA.

This survey specifically targets rural areas in India, covering all automatically included and deprived households from the SECC 2011 data. Enumerators will utilize an android mobile application called EOL to conduct door-to-door canvassing, gathering information directly into a digital format. The enumerator devices will have access to the base data from SECC 2011, facilitating the search and identification of households.

It's important to note that this app is intended solely for use by officials of the Ministry of Rural Development or authorized individuals appointed for field data collection purposes. It is not accessible to the general public.
